 County Secretary Peter Eripete yesterday graced launch of USAID-funded cash transfer programme implemented by the Kenya Red Cross.


The programme launched by Red Cross Deputy Secretary General Annette Msabeni and USAID’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA) Team Lead Soledad Rogers, will benefit 31,940 residents in Turkana.

The CS appreciated the support from USAID and Red Cross to complement the county’s drought response, including ongoing relief distribution.

He said the County Government will work with different partners to ensure the response was coordinated and to limit duplication of efforts.
